I do not know...

It hurts somewhere......................
but where?? why?? by whom???
I do not know...

The sky looks blank... not its brilliant blue..
the sea looks scary... instead of the welcoming waves ...
Moon by night seem so sad ........ not giving off its poignant bright light..
the flowers do not sway and dance in the wind...why, I truly wonder...?
no lustre in the shimmering stars...
no depth in the innocent smile of a child..
no passion in the eyes of the newly wed..
no love in the touch of the aged couple..

Why does everything seem so far away?
why is it not real..?
why is it so difficult..?

I wish I knew the answers.....
yet, I hold none !

Sundays are special days  always in my life

Days bestowed to worship the Lord Almighty

On that  sunny Sunday, just like any other

I, on my way to church, paused for a minute

Amidst the long hectic traffic lights,

And thought sadly about the dear faces

Waiting for my arrival,in front of my church.

They wait with baited breath and anticipation....

at the lovely packets of food I always carry..

But today, alas, I could take  none!

I wondered how I will walk past,carrying nothing,

among the crowd of these poor lepers..

Marked “untouchable” by society!

I walked to church, head bent,praying

Hoping they would not notice me.....!

Lo,there lie a fresh crisp note of five hundred

Am I dreaming? Nay, the truth stares at my face

Oh thank Heaven, I breathed upward!

“Lord, bless the one who lost this note

And bless the ones who are receiving its fruit”

Overjoyed, I sprinted back,to the nearest hotel

With loads of crisp packets, smelling too good

Head high, I kept one by one to the numerous-

Fingerless palms that shot forth from everywhere!

A days good work done, happily I smile

At the loving faces, reflecting gratitude

And I join my hands together in silent bliss

Thanking the Creator of Miracles, seated on high!
